BACKGROUND

Pretty Disturbia was launched in January 2009 and was created by Manchester based Fashion Designer, Leesa Bertram. Having trained at Manchester Met University and working for many well known companies as Senior designers and A PR and Marketing Manager, She had the intention to create something unique and alternative in her own busines, which was burlesque inspired, using unique hand dyed effects and hand embellishments. Leesa was heavily influenced by vintage clothing and the confident Manchester street wear style.
Etra Design House was set up to launch a number of fashion brands, but Pretty Disturbia was so well received that Leesa and her team invested all their time and energies into building a sustainable platform to cater for the high demand for the subsequent seasons collections, the collection is now in 38 key independent boutique accounts in the UK and Europe (including two in central London and one in Dublin, as well one in Austria, Dubai and one in Australia) . Etra Design House also Launched Bang Bang and Scribble this January for SS11 and it has already been very well received in sales and has an underground Manchester following.
There are 2 Etra Design House offices, one which is head office in Spring Gardens and a quirky design studio on Lever Street- both in Manchester City Centre which is a constant source of inspiration and support to the Pretty Disturbia team.
